Mother’s day comes every year, although countries differ on this day from one country to. Today we congratulate every mother and say every year you are kind, the most beautiful thing in our life.

Mother’s day

The idea of allocating a special Mother’s day was started by Western thinkers as a result of their observation of the neglect of sons by their mothers.
So they decided to set aside a day to remind the children of their mothers.

However, the first movement is attributed to a woman named Anna Jarvis, who founded an International Association in 1912.

She called for making an international day dedicated to the celebration of the family and mothers and for all mothers worldwide.

This is where the first term (mothers) came from, but beware that it is in the singular of ownership in English.

U.S. President Woodrow Wilson is the first president to recognize Mother’s day in U.S. law.

1908 was the first year associated with mother’s day, or mother’s day, in which Anna Jarvis commemorated her mother.
And she began to move to allocate a day in honor of the mother.

In 1920, Anna Jarvis faced some lawsuits against her, that she was using it for profit and fame, did not care about it, and continued the March.

And indeed it succeeded and a day was approved in all American cities on a day called (Mother’s Day).

Mother’s day from the perspective of religion

Islam: scholars differed on Mother’s day two opinions.

First: the celebration of the mother and her righteousness is throughout the year and has no dedicated day, and what is happening is only a tradition in the West.

Second: they said that it’s okay for Mother’s day and that already many children are moving away from their mothers because of work, marriage, or worldly matters.
This leaves children away from their parents for long periods.

Christianity: mother’s day is strongly associated with prayer in the (Roman Catholic Church)and with the prayer to the Virgin Mary.

Egypt

The Arab world started in the Arab Republic of Egypt, where the late journalist Ali Amin was the founder of Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper.

He wrote an article wondering when he would find an Egyptian woman visiting him and telling him her story.

Since she is a lady and her husband died, she has been raising her children until they graduated from University, got married, and were completely independent of her.

Here the journalist Ali Amin and his brother Mustafa Amin published, and each of them had a daily column under the name (idea).

They asked questions, including a special Mother’s day to be a reminder to return the favor she did.

From here, many agreed to determine the first day of spring, March 21, to be mother’s day, and it became celebrated in all Arab countries.
